Zoi Kerkezi

Zoi Kerkezi passed away on August 9th in her home at the age of 98. Born on June 30, 1922 in Drosopigi, Greece to Christos and Maria Tonas she emigrated to Syracuse in 1951 with her husband and three children. She worked at Nettleton Shoes and Syracuse China. A superb baker and cook of numerous Greek foods that all her family and friends enjoyed.
She is predeceased by her husband Thomas, and daughter Katherine Stathopoulos. Survived by her son-in-law Alex Stathopoulos, sons, Achilefs (Valerie) Kerkezi and Thomas Kerkezi Jr.; Grandchildren, Vasilios (Kimm) Stathopoulos, Nick (Lynn) Stathopoulos, Ben (Kim) Kerkezi, Alissa (Bo) Rinn, Jason Kerkezi, and Kim (Danny) Stoebauer and 14 great grand-children.
Special thanks to Lisa from Cargivers in allowing Zoi to remain in her own home, as she so dearly wished.
Funeral Services at St. Sophia's Greek Orthodox Church on Thursday with a 10 am viewing followed by services at 11 am. Interment at Oakwood Cemetery.
