I am heartbroken to announce the death of my father, William (Bill) Edward Doughty. He passed away peacefully at the age of 74, with the company of his sister Elizabeth Ward and daughter Leah Doughty. He was predeceased by his parents Mary and Edward Doughty, his sister Carol Cahl, and his wife Roselyn (Lynn) Doughty.
My dad enjoyed many hobbies throughout his life fishing, golfing, the horse track, traveling, and in his last years loved playing Bridge with his partner Judy Matalavage. He was a wonderful artist, bird caller, harmonica player, pitch, rummy, and pinochle player and was highly skilled at all puzzles especially crosswords. Im 100% positive he could’ve been a re-occurring winner on Jeopardy.
He taught me how to fish, ski, ice-skate, ride a bike, read a map, and most importantly to slow down and enjoy life.
My dad was a Veteran of the Air Force. He leaves behind a large extended family who loves and will miss him dearly; The Ward, Kallfelz, DeLong, Thoryk, Cahl, Rodrigues, Dearstine, Cooper, Dioguardi, and Doughty family.
