Valoree N. Suttmore, More, Congel, 55, of Syracuse passed away Friday, December 4, 2020 from Ovarian cancer. She was born on July 11, 1965 in Syracuse, the daughter of John and Carolee More (Fiacco).
She was a graduate of Bishop Grimes Highs School in 1983. Valoree obtained her Associates degree in Surgical Technology from Onondaga Community College. She later went on to obtain her BS in Business Administration from the State University of New York, Empire State College in 2001.
She worked for 2 ½ years as a Surgical Technologist at St. Joseph's Hospital Health Center in Syracuse. In 1987, Valoree took a Transplant Coordinator position at the American Red Cross Tissue Services and remained there until 2000. In 2006 she took a position at SUNY Upstate Medical University as a Clinical Research Associate in the area of Cystic Fibrosis and Pediatrics where she worked until her death.
Valoree is predeceased by her parents John and Carolee More. She is survived by her wonderful son, Zane Skylar Suttmore of Syracuse, a brother Laurence More, sister-in-law Christine, and nephew Kevin of Ridgefield, Connecticut.
Valoree requested that her body be donated to the SUNY Anatomical Gift Program, but was unable to be accepted due to the program being full. Valoree also requested that there be no services
