Stella Kiryashova passed away peacefully at home March 31, 2025 surrounded by love. Stella was born on November 24, 1941, in Baku, Azerbaijan, during the difficult years of World War II. There she grew up with her mother, father, older brother and two sisters.
Despite many hardships, including her father’s absence at war and the daily challenges of survival, Stella cultivated strength and resilience that shaped the woman she would become for the rest of her life.
She went on to finish college, build a career, and later married. Stella became the proud mother of two children, Lola and Vadim. In 1992, as the Soviet Union was collapsing, Stella and her family bravely left behind the uncertainty of their homeland and came to the United States on February 18, 1992, in search of a better life. Just a month later, Stella underwent open-heart surgery, a procedure that gave her the gift of more than three decades with her loved ones.
Stella found joy and purpose in caring for her two beloved grandchildren, Yelena and David while Lola pursued her studies and Vaghram worked. Her family, especially her grandchildren, were the greatest joy of her life.
In her first year in the United States, Stella began to study the Bible. This new path led her to become one of Jehovah’s Witnesses, and her faith became a source of strength, hope, and lifelong friendships. Her deep belief helped her navigate the health challenges and trials she faced with grace and courage.
She will be forever remembered as a strong, loving, and remarkable woman, with a great sense of humor.
She will be greatly missed by her children Lola and Vadim, her sisters Ivetta and Irina, her beloved granddaughter, Yelena, son-in-law Vaghram and all that knew and loved her.
