Silas Halperin, PhD

 

Dr. Silas Halperin, 82, of Syracuse, NY, died peacefully on December 23, 2023. He was born in Hudson Falls NY on March 18, 1941. Silas worked at Syracuse University as the Director of Measurements and Statistics in the School of Education and Psychology for 35 years. After retiring Silas spent many memorable years traveling the world with his wife, Peggy.

Silas is survived by his wife of 62 years, Peggy Dufore Halperin, and their children Denise Webb (Peter), Barry Halperin (Shawn), and Tana Pusey (Daniel). Silas had 7 grandchildren and 3 great- grandchildren.

There will be no calling hours or service. Silas donated his body to the SUNY Upstate Medical University’s Anatomical Gift Program.
