Sandra J. Stark passed away peacefully on Sunday, April 26. She was born March 2, 1939 to Anna Mae and James Costa of Jamesville, NY and graduated from St. Lucy's Academy. On November 24, 1956 she married the love of her life, Louis Stark. They settled and raised their family in Syracuse, NY and were lifelong members of St. Sophia's Greek Orthodox Church.
Sandra's unconditional love and acts of selfless generosity and strength will be cherished by family members always. She devoted her life to family and adored spending time with her husband, "Lou", their parents, children, grandchildren, great grandson and all relatives. Through the years she lovingly and gracefully cared for several family members in time of need while raising her own children. Sandra was a member of St. Sophia's Philoptochos Society and the local craft club. She enjoyed playing cards with friends, summer vacations at Sandy Pond with her family and annual Stark family reunions at Jamesville Beach. She was especially happy cooking for large gatherings of family and friends. She was an incredible homemaker and an avid and active sports fan, regularly cheering for the NY Yankees, SU and her children's and grandchildren's many sports teams over the years.
Early in marriage she resided in Germany where Lou was stationed in the army. While there they visited Greece and enjoyed adventures in the mountains with family residing there. She often shared fond memories of their time abroad where she birthed the oldest of their four children.
Sandy was predeceased by her husband and parents. Surviving are her children Stephanie, Dean, Lisa (Harry), Ann Marie (Tim), her grandchildren Anastasia, Avery, Alexandra, Eustratios, Elias, Anastacia and great-grandchild Joseph.
