Ruben Vidal Jr.

Ruben Vidal Jr. passed away unexpectedly on December 9th, 2023. Ruben was survived by his mother Rebecca Miranda, father Ruben Vidal Sr., brother Jesus Mitchell, three children Savanna Love, Ruben III, and Damien, Granddaughter Madielian Vidal, aunts, uncles, cousins, and many friends. He loved his children more than anything and spoke of them highly. Ruben had a special bond with his sister, Valentina.

 

Ruben was born in the State of California and spent most of his youth in the San Diego area. He moved to Syracuse, NY later on where he resided for the remainder of his life. Ruben was a light; he was funny and caring. He was passionate and protective over those that he loved. You could almost always find Ruben playing darts or pool at CSP, Al’s or The Penny. Chances are, he’s probably beat you in a game or two. Ruben had his own funny little sayings that those around him naturally adopted into their vocabulary. He would randomly hook his arm into yours while walking down the sidewalk and yell “skip to my Lou, my darling!”. It was easy to be around Ruben, he made people smile. 

 

The loss of Ruben or “Ruby” to some, will always have a tender place within his family and friends. Services will be held Tuesday, December 19th, 2023 from 5-8pm at Burns-Garfield Funeral Home.
