Roland Witschard

Roland Witschard, 93 of Syracuse passed away peacefully on August 25, 2022.  Born February 5, 1929 the son of Adolf and Mercedes Witschard in St. Albans, NY. He spent his life living around the world including Switzerland, Germany, Spain, Puerto Rico, and the Canary Islands. He spoke 6 languages and enjoyed traveling around the world throughout his life. He was an architect in both NYC and Syracuse and designed several major projects in his community. His talent in both art and architecture were recognized by the Schweinfurth Art Center in Auburn  and The Everson Museum in Syracuse. An avid gardener he enjoyed growing produce at his home but enjoyed sharing the fruits of his labor with his friends and neighbors.

Predeceased by his parents and his brother, Arno. Roland is survived by his wife of 52 years Anne, his brother Gilbert (Betty) of Bucks County, PA, sister in Law Margaret Hollabaugh  of Lebannon, Nj and a nephew Manalito of Buffalo, NY.

Services will be private at the convenience of the family.
