Richard Bernard Liddle, 85, passed away Sunday, December 3, 2017 at his home in DeWitt, New York. Richard was born June 29, 1932 to Clarence and Margaret (Conlan) Liddle in Johnstown, New York, the youngest of three children.
As a graduate of Syracuse University, Richard worked for Key Bank (formerly First Trust and Deposit) for the entirety of his career. Upon retirement, Richard worked with the Syracuse Chamber of Commerce Incubator Center and the United Way. He enjoyed golfing, reading, the outdoors, and working around the yard in his spare time.
He is survived by his wife of 38 years, Donna Mattison Liddle; along with his 7 children and step-children; David C. Liddle of Beverly, Massachusetts, Judith (Dick) Kopp of Cazenovia, Matthew (Nina) Liddle of Nantucket, Massachusetts, Edmund "Bill" (Amanda) Liddle of Nantucket, Massachusetts, Kate Liddle (Becky Groat) of Baldwinsville, Matthew Warshal (Christine Cassidy) of Camillus, and Robert (Wendy) Warshal of Brighton, Michigan; eight grandchildren, Conrad Kopp, Peter Kopp, Tucker Kopp, Alexander Warshal, Nathan Warshal, Maggie Liddle, Louisa Liddle, and Samuel Liddle.
The family will greet friends on Friday, December 8, 2017 at Burns-Garfield Funeral Home 3175 E. Genesee St. Syracuse, from 4 to 6 pm. A service in celebration of Richard's life will immediately follow.
