Richard Sedgwick Emory

Richard Sedgwick Emory,79, of Syracuse, NY. passed away peacefully after a short illness on Wednesday, August 20, 2025 at Upstate Univeristy Hospital. Richard was born in Jasckson; Mississippi in 1945 to Elizabeth (Burlingame) and George B.  Emory Jr. An avid photographer, Richard is survived by his brothers; Bruce B. Emory of Asheville, NC; Hugh M. Emory of Phoenixville, PA; brother-in-law Rick Demarest of Mt. Shasta, CA; several nieces and nephews, and his former wife and best friend Patricia Roclaw. He was predeceased by his sister Carol Emory (Demarest).

Richard attended The Peck School and Morristown Prep in Morristown, NJ. He was a gradaute of Farleigh Dickinson University. Richard's career included sales and marketing.

Memorial Services will be private. Donations may be made to Upstate Cancer Center, 750 E. Adams St. Syracuse NY 13210.
