Perry Anthis

Perry (Pericles) Thomas Anthis, affectionately known to family and friends as “Cleez,” of Melbourne, Florida, passed away unexpectedly on June 24, 2026, with his loving daughter, Taylor, and his partner, Diane, by his side.

Perry was born on August 8, 1956, in Syracuse, New York, to Thomas and Niki (Tzivanis) Anthis. He graduated from Nottingham High School in 1974 and proudly served his country in the United States Army from June 24, 1974, until November 1, 1976. The dedication, loyalty, and selflessness he displayed during his service continued to define his character throughout his life. After his military service, he built a career in General Contracting.

Perry’s greatest gift was simply being himself. He had an incredible sense of humor, charming personality, a genuine heart, and an unmatched willingness to help anyone in need. Whether offering a helping hand, sharing a laugh, or simply spending time with family, he made those around him feel valued and cared for.

He found joy in the simple things, especially spending time on the golf course and following basketball, football, and derby racing. Whether watching a game with family or talking sports with friends, those moments brought him great happiness.

Above all else, Perry was a devoted father, papou, son, brother, uncle, cousin, and friend. He is survived by his loving mother, Niki Anthis; his only daughter, Taylor (Sammantha) Anthis; his two cherished granddaughters, Natalie and Scarlett; his partner of ten years, Diane Swaner; his siblings, James Anthis, Maria (Ron) Turenne; Thomas (Joy) Anthis Jr., William Anthis, and Johnny (Kasia) Anthis; as well as many nieces and nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews, extended family members, and many dear friends.

Perry was preceded in death by his father, Thomas J. Anthis Sr.; his Aunt Thalia; Aunt Anne; Uncle Dino; Uncle Harry; and his cousins, Tina and Jimmy.

Perry will be remembered for his kindness, generosity, quick wit, and the way he made people feel. His genuine spirit and ability to bring a smile to those around him left a lasting impression that will live on in the hearts of all who knew him.
