Patricia Fallon

Patricia Mulgannon Fallon passed away peacefully on a beautiful Mother's Day morning, May 12, 2019 in Bradenton, Florida with family around her.

Our Mom, Granny and Great-Granny, as we lovingly called her, was born in Washington, DC, and grew up in Chevy Chase, MD. She attended The Academy of the Holy Cross and Immaculata College. While working at Georgetown Medical Center she met future husband Dr. Michael W. (Mickey) Fallon Jr. on a blind date. Their first date was an evening of dancing, something they delighted in for the rest of their almost 60 years together.

After moving to Syracuse in 1955, their family grew. Her children were everything to her and she raised her family with unwavering faith and unconditional love.

Mom had a lifelong love of reading and took us on weekly trips to the library. As her grandchildren and great-grandchildren came along, they'd surround her as she read countless books to them. Combining her love of reading with her love of children and their excitement,
she volunteered for years in the St Ann's school library.

Our biggest fan, she loved each story we shared about our families, told us with joy the latest news about each other, and kept us connected. She was the center of our love and belonging.

Her faith was quiet and steadfast, with a particular devotion to the Blessed Mother.

In her final year, Mom was surrounded by children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. We thank Kathy and Phil Byrne for moving in with her after Dad passed in 2012, providing loving company and devoted care.

Predeceased by her husband Mickey, infant son John, and parents Frank and Margaret Mulgannon, she is survived by seven beloved children, 22 treasured grandchildren, and 14 cherished great-grandchildren:

(Kathleen), Lisa Fallon Stack (Josh), Clare, John, Bernadette, and Michael, Grace Fallon Michel (Edwin) and Noah, Mary and Kate Fallon; Mark Fallon Sr., Shannon Fallon Doherty (Luke), Lilly, Colton and Fallon Doherty, Mark Jr. and Patrick Fallon.

With joy, Baby Girl Masterpol is expected this month and Baby Boy Doherty in July.

Mom is also survived by her much-loved sister and brother, Nancy Mulgannon McKee and Donald Mulgannon, sisters-in-law Mary Fallon Sullivan, Jane Eagan Fallon brothers-in-law Drs. Paul (Patricia) and Thomas Fallon, many loving nieces, nephews, their families, and dear friends.

A funeral Mass will be held at 10 am on Friday, May 17, 2019 at St. Mary's of the Lake Church, Skaneateles, with a reception to follow in the Parish Center. She will rest in St. Mary's Cemetery, next to Dad.
