Michael Delaney

Michael Frederick Delaney, 67, of Syracuse passed away peacefully at Crouse Hospital with family by his side December 11, 2021. He was born in the Valley section of Syracuse to Lawrence and Janet Holihan Delaney, graduated from Central Tech High School and attended Onondaga Community College. For 20 years he was employed by Carrier Corporation and for 10 years as a respiratory therapist at St. Joseph's Hospital. In his long career as a maintenance specialist he also worked and developed lifetime ties with people at Loretto and Elmcrest Children's Center. Most recently Michael volunteered his time at the Francis House.

Michael enjoyed riding motorcycles especially with his steadfast friends from the Valley Desperados. He loved nature, travel, music, reading and enjoyed spending time at his summer camp on Kasoag Lake. Michael will be especially remembered for his giving nature and kind heart.

He married Kristine Kehoe July 26, 2008 in St. Lucy's Church. Besides his wife he leaves two sons SFC Benjamin Reidy (Lori) of Fort Hood, Texas, Riley Delaney (Heather) of Statesveille, North Carolina, two stepsons Ethan Hogan of Baltimore, MD and Peter Hogan of Sryracuse and seven grandchildren Chayton, Tyee, Dyani, Jessalyn, and Traceyn Reidy, Erin and Abby Delaney. He also leaves cousins John Hohm, Craig Hohm, Diane Berman, and James Hohm.

Services will be private for the family. A celebration of life and ride will take place in the summer for friends.
