Mary Mastroianni

February 22, 1923 — January 7, 2021

Mary Lazzari Mastroianni, 97, peacefully passed away in her sleep surrounded by her loved ones at her daughter Mary's home in Fayetteville, New York. Her eternal life will be a joyous reunion with her beloved husband Pasquale and her devoted daughters Aurelia, Laura and sons, Dr. Anthony and Armond. Mary will gloriously see her cherished eternal family members, parents Aurelia and Joseph Lazarri; sister Laura and husband Bill Osta; brother Michael and wife Helen Lazzari, brother Max Lazzari and brother-in-law Nicholas DiLeva. Mary is also pre deceased by many wonderful members of the Mastroianni family, especially her loving mother in law Guiseppina Mastroianni.
Mary is survived by her cherished sister, Louise (Nicholas) DiLeva, sister-in-law Patricia (Max) Lazzari and her daughter-in-law Susan (Dr Anthony) Mastroianni and son-in-laws Mitchell (Aurelia) Miller and Dr Richard (Laura) Salvatore. She will be forever missed by her loving son and daughters and their spouses Patsy (Carmel) Mastroianni, Josepha (Chuck) Abba and Mary (Peter) Drescher. Mary is also survived by twenty grandchildren and twenty great grandchildren who filled her with great pride and joy.
In 1978 Mary and her husband Patsy became the proud owners of the Mastroianni Brothers Bakery. Along with their sons Patsy and Armond worked tirelessly to continue its success and legacy that started in 1923 by the original 8 Mastroianni Brothers. Mary's perseverance and acuity contributed to its great success. She retired from her position as owner of the bakery in 2008 to live with her adoring daughter and son in law Mary and Peter Drescher's family for the last 12 years.
Mary was an amazing role model for all her children and grandchildren. She was our Matriarch who always put God and her family first and led by example for all of us to follow. You couldn't ask for a better mother. A true immigrant success story from Parma, Italy who has been an inspiration to her entire family. We will be forever grateful to Galina Radchuk, Lucy Osiv and Janina Bialach -Mary's wonderful caregivers throughout the years.
