Marilyn DeVoll Wehrle passed away on Sunday, May 21,2017. She was born in Rochester, NY and graduated from SUNY Brockport with a degree in Education. Marilyn also grew up in Rochester, where she met and married her husband of 70 years. In 1969, she and her family moved to Manlius, NY where she taught preschool in several area locations.
She was a passionate gardener, active member of the United Church of Fayetteville and a volunteer at the Manlius Library for many years. She loved to read , was a Literacy Volunteer, a Welcome Wagon Hostess, Real-Estate Agent and worked along side many friends at the Bears Paw in the Canal Barn.
Loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and teacher she is survived by her husband George, children John (Sigrid), Mary Ellen Woiler (Steve), Carole Wehrle, and David (Marilyn). She is also survived by 3 grand-children and 5 great-grand-children. Calling hours will be Wednesday at Burns-Garfield Funeral Home 3175 E. Genesee St. Syracuse from 10am until 12pm, followed by services at the funeral home at 12pm and burial at the Fayetteville Cemetery at 2pm. to leave In lieu of flowers, contributions can be sent to the United Church of Fayetteville or the National Parkinson's Foundation.
