Marianne Byrne Flynn

Marianne B. Flynn passed away peacefully on September 10, 2026 at home. Marianne was born the first daughter and was the fourth of eleven children born to Jack and Ann Byrne. She attended the Convent School and graduated from the Cathedral Academy and was a graduate of Ray Vogue School of Design, Chicago, Ill. She was an employee of Nationwide Insurance Co. and was joined in marriage to Lawrence (Larry) Flynn in 1970 and that marriage lasted 56 years. They were blessed with 3 children, 11 grandchildren, and 2 great-grandchildren.

Marianne was predeceased by five brothers: John, George, Kevin, Brian and Luke. She is survived by her husband, Larry, daughter Elizabeth (Doug) Stone, sons Andrew (Jennifer) and Mark (Nadine), and 11 grandchildren and two great grandchildren.

A Funeral Mass will be held at 11:30 am Tuesday, September 15th at Most Holy Rosary Church, 111 Roberts Ave, Syracuse NY. With visitation from 10-11 am prior to Mass.

The family would like to thank the nursing staff at Crouse Hospital on the Fourth Floor West and New Hartford Hospice for their compassion and care for Marianne.
