Margaret (Peggy) Costello Morris
Margaret (Peggy) Costello Morris died on March 27, 2019 in Syracuse, N.Y. She was born on June 27, 1919 in Milwaukee, Wisconsin to Edna (Halloran) and William H. Costello. She moved with her family to New York in 1926.
She graduated from White Plains High School in 1936 and Columbia University School of Dental Hygiene in 1938. She and William Spencer Morris were married on February 3, 1945 at the Army Air Force base in Laredo, Texas. She is survived by her four children Margaret (Mardi), William S., Jennifer and Andrea, her 2 sons-in-law, her daughter-in-law, nine grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
She practiced dental hygiene until 1986, loved reading, painting watercolors, knitting, travelling and her family. She lived in White Plains, N.Y. and Hawthorne N.Y. until 1991 when she and Spencer moved to the Nottingham Senior Living Center in Syracuse N.Y. She was a member of Holy Cross Catholic Church in DeWitt, N.Y. She died peacefully in the Residential Health Care Facility at the Nottingham, the last of her generation in her family.
