Joseph Howard Curry died peacefully at home, on November 13, 2018. The son of Thomas J. and Mary M. Curry, both deceased, Joseph was born in Syracuse on June 4, 1951, Joseph was a graduate of Nottingham High School. Following graduation, Joseph enlisted in the United States Marine Corps from which he was honorably discharged after serving as an infantryman in Vietnam. For many years Joseph was employed at The Nottingham where he was revered by most if not all residents. Joseph was also an avid collector and dealer in antiques, specializing in tools, and a professional photographer.
Noted for his dry wit and subtle humor, Joseph was the principal caregiver to his father, Tom, during the latter's last years.
Joseph his survived by four sisters sisters: Elizabeth, Mary, Eileen, and Kathleen; and three brothers: Stephen, Daniel, and John. Another brother, Thomas, predeceased Joseph by several years. Joseph is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews, all of whom he loved dearly. At the time of his death Joseph was under the care of his niece, Genesis Freeman, to whom the family is greatly indebted. Also to be remembered is longtime companion Rosalie
