JoAnn Comanici

JoAnn (Everill) Comanici, 86 years old, passed away on July 23, 2020, in Jamesville, NY. Originally from Penn Hills, PA, she was predeceased by her husband Earl and is survived by her three sons: Alan (Laura), Dale (Erin), and Jeffry (Cydney); nine grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. JoAnn was predeceased by her parents; one infant child; brothers, Richard Everill, James and Robert Pagane and a sister, Jean Pagane. Born in Wilkinsburg, PA, JoAnn graduated from Penn High School. She was a member of the United Presbyterian Church of Universal. JoAnn enjoyed golfing at Alcoma Golf Club, playing cards with her Card club, listening to polka music, and spending time with her lifelong friends. She loved being with and staying close with her grandchildren. The family would like to thank the staff of the Nottingham Assisted Living Facility and the Residential Health Care Facility, in Jamesville, NY, for the loving care that they provided Mom. Services are entrusted to Burns Garfield Funeral Home of Syracuse, NY, and Soxman Funeral Homes, Ltd. of Pittsburgh, PA. A private funeral service will take place in Pittsburgh on Thursday, July 30th with burial at Plum Creek Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to the United Presbyterian Church of Universal, 2545 Main Street, Pittsburgh, PA 15235 or the Loretto Foundation, 700 East Brighton Ave, Syracuse, NY, 13205. A celebration of JoAnn's life will take place in Syracuse at a later date.
