Jeffrey Harlan Carr of Syracuse, NY passed away peacefully the morning of May 28th. Jeff was 50 years old and fought a courageous battle against breast cancer. Jeff grew up in Camillus and was a member of the football, wrestling and lacrosse teams at West Genesee. After graduating in 1985, Jeff took his legendary lacrosse skills to The College of The Holy Cross in Worcester, MA and LeMoyne College in Syracuse, NY. After graduating from LeMoyne, Jeff followed his adventurous spirit west and lived in Vail, CO for 10 years and Chicago for 5 years before returning to Syracuse. Jeff was the Marketing Director at Elmcrest Children's Center and a volunteer youth coach for the Valley Youth Lacrosse Association. He loved working with the kids on and off the field, and spending time with family and friends. Jeff's carefree and outgoing spirit will be missed, but will always be with us.
Jeff is survived by his mother Barbara Russell Carr; sisters Holly, Amy, and Katy; brothers Kelley, Bradley, and Brian; and a large contingent of nieces and nephews. Jeff was preceded by his father, Bradley J. Carr.
