Geri Archambeault

February 18, 1933 — December 24, 2015

Geri Archambeault passed away peacefully on December 14, 2015 after a short illness. Geri was born on February 18, 1933 in Pittsfield MA. She was married to John Archambeault for 24 years until his passing in 1986. Geri retired from General Electric in 1992 but continued to keep busy with jobs at Pompey Country Club, NY State Fair and ushering for hockey games and shows downtown. Geri enjoyed golfing, traveling and spending time with family, grandchildren and great grandchildren. She was active in St. Sophia's church and enjoyed selling loukamades during the Greek festival every year.
Geri stayed very active her entire life working, travelling, volunteering and socializing with her many friends around town. Geri travelled to five different continents and always enjoyed learning about other cultures and peoples. Geri volunteered at the Francis House and cooked for the Ronald McDonald House. She was also a big sports fan who loved the Syracuse Orange and the Philadelphia Eagles.
Geri is survived by her four children, Kathy Kolany of Illinois, John (Paige) Archambeault of Clay, Karen Archambeault of Camillus, Matthew (Teresa) Archambeault of Cherry Hill, NJ Eleven grandchildren, Jessica (Chad) , Nicholas (Laura), Leah , John Michael (Carrie), Luke, Brianna, Jacob, Sofia, Elena, John Lewis, Danielle, and Brianna. Geri four great-grandchildren, Silas, Lola, Jaxson, and Ava.
Funeral services will be 10 am on Saturday, December 19, at St. Sophia's Greek Orthodox Church, 325 Waring Rd. Syracuse. Burial will follow in Woodlawn Cemetery. Calling Hours will be held on Friday, December 18, 2015 from 4-7 pm at Burns-Garfield "A Life Celebration Home" 3175 E. Genesee St. Syracuse. The Trisiagon service led by Father David Smith will be held at 4pm at the funeral home.
Donations in Geri's name may be made to Francis House, 108 Michaels Ave. Syracuse.
