Frank B. Clark

Frank B. Clark, 96 years old, passed away peacefully Wednesday, October 19th 2016. Frank was born in Washington D.C. in 1920. His parents moved to Syracuse when he was a boy, and he attended the Pebble Hill School. He enjoyed spending summers with his parents at their camp, on Third Lake, in the Adirondacks. Frank graduated from Yale University and soon thereafter enlisted in the U.S. Army to serve in WWII. Captain Clark was stationed in India with the Railway Transportation Corps, providing logistical support to the Allies in the Burma campaign.
After the war he married Anne O'Donnell of Syracuse and their union was blessed with four children; Debbie (Tom O'Carroll), Lawrence (Margaret) Clark, Connie (Bob Dalbo) and Molly Clark. There are ten grandchildren and nine great grandchildren.

Frank is remembered as a father and grandfather who was pleasant, tolerant and kind, with a great sense of humor. On travels with his grandchildren he would often speak with the people he met. He always came back with great stories. He loved his family and his faith.Railroads were his special interest. His first job was with the New York Central Railroad. His last job was as a volunteer conductor with the Adirondack Scenic Railroad. Frank left the Railroad to work for E.M. O'Donnell, Inc. in Syracuse. His primary career however was as a business and tax consultant with the Clark-Montague firm. In his final years he was an active member of the Sacred Heart Apostelate in Syracuse. He also served as a board member with the Circle of Hope, an organization that helps prisoners return to a normal and productive life in their communities. Frank was also served as Treasurer with the Nottingham Forum for four years.

The family would like to thank the Nottingham Senior Living Community for all of their excellent care and support.

A funeral mass will be celebrated at 11 am on Wednesday, November 2nd at St. Charles- St. Ann's Parish in St. Ann Church, 4471 Onondaga Blvd. Syracuse, NY. Following the mass the family will visit with friends and relatives with a reception at the church.
