Elizabeth Bockheim

Elizabeth M. Bockheim passed away Sunday morning, January 27, 2019 at 96 years of age. Liz, or Betty as some called her, was born in Xanten, Germany on February 9, 1922. She immigrated to the United States at age 7 with her parents, Joseph and Kathryn Dillmann, and older brother Robert. She was predeceased by her husband of 75 years, Donald F. Bockheim , and is survived by three children, Michael (Cheryle) and Donald (Terry) Bockheim of Syracuse, NY and Nancy (Roger) Taylor of Kalamazoo MI. After dedicating her life to raising her children, Liz took up oil painting, winning several First Prize awards at the New York State Fair. Her favorite spot in her home of over 60 years was sitting on the porch, reading, listening to the birds and watching the cloud formations. She was a role model for aging, always appreciative and content. She will be missed.
