Diane Kerrigan, 76 of Fayetteville, passed away Sunday March 3rd after saying goodbye to those who loved her most. Born in Syracuse, she was a 1960 graduate of West Genesee High School. Her career as a dedicated administrative assistant spanned decades and she made her most valued contributions to Pasqua Law, Exxon, Crouse Hospital and VIP Structures. She was a lover of all animals and previously volunteered at the Rosamond Gifford Zoo, where she had a particular affection for the elephants and often requested roles that allowed her to experience them more up close. She also was a volunteer for Meals on Wheels of Fayetteville. Diane was a loving mother and adored and cherished her grandchildren, who she made a point to spoil whenever possible. Her family always looked forward to her hosting of holidays and other special occasions as she was an outstanding cook and enjoyed preparing the family favorites she knew we all loved. Diane also enjoyed spending time with family and friends at Fawn Point our family camp in the Adirondacks where she shared many laughs, more fine meals and helped create many fond memories there over the last 35 years.
Diane is survived by her loving husband of 40 years, Terence Kerrigan; her sister Debbie (Kerry) Johnson; children Jonathan Cortright and Christine (Michael) Fero; grandchildren Ryan, Megan and Jonah and great-grandchildren Emerson and Tanner.
