Dan McCann

Arthur Daniel (Dan) McCann, 72, of Syracuse passed away peacefully on Friday, December 6, 2019. Born June 27, 1947 to Arthur and Doris Ann McCann of Cazenovia. A graduate of Cazenovia High School Dan entered the seminary following high school and continued his studies in London England before returning home to Cazenovia to care for his family.
Dan began his career as florist in Cazenovia NY, later establishing his own flower shop, Five Seasons at the Canal Barn. Known for his kindness, generosity and love, his greatest joy was spending time with friends. If anyone every needed a Nickle Dan would give them a Dime. Dan enjoyed art, antiques and traveling the world with his partner Will.
Predeceased by his parents, his sister Judy and his partner Will Evans, Dan is survived by his countless friends who he cherished especially his devoted care givers Nick and Caroline Brust and Don and Barb Burns .
A funeral Mass will be Celebrated on Friday, December 13, 2019 at St Lucy's Church. A calling Hour will be held from 10-11 am prior to the service. Burial will follow in St. Agnes Cemetery, Cazenovia. Contributions in Dan's memory can be made to Vera House or the Elmcrest Children's Center
