Brenda Vohs

Brenda Vohs, a beloved Mother, Grandmother, Sister and Friend, passed peacefully at home in Dewitt, New York, on October 28, 2025. Born on March 3, 1947, in Jamesville, New York, Brenda embodied a creative spirit and a caring nature that touched the lives of many.

Brenda dedicated her entire career to Countryside Federal Credit Union, where she earned the respect and admiration of her colleagues for her professionalism and dedication.

She is predeceased the parents who raised her, Howard and Cora Smiley. And also her five siblings. 

Her legacy lives on through her son, Christopher Vohs; daughter, Elizabeth Krause; and son-in-law, David Krause. She took great joy in her grandchildren, Allison, Taylor, Carrie, Jack, Sadie, Teagan, and Spencer, each of whom brought immense happiness to her life.

In addition to her familial bonds, Brenda was known for her joyful love of baking—a delightful activity that she shared with those dear to her. A true lover of animals, especially her own kitty, Minnie.

Brenda had a natural affinity for the outdoors, and she shared many beautiful moments with family and friends in the mountains. For those who knew her, knew of her fun love for Moose.

She is also survived by her sister, Katie (David) Senke, and dearest friend Lynn Hoyer who will carry her memory forever in their hearts.

A memorial service in honor of Brenda Vohs will be held on November 25, 2025, beginning at 10:00 AM at the Burns Garfield Funeral Home, located at 3175 E. Genesee St., Suite 6, Syracuse, NY 13224. A visitation will follow from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the same location.

Brenda's memory will continue to inspire kindness and passion for life in all who were fortunate enough to know her. She will be deeply missed but lovingly remembered.
