Benedetta Di Marco

Benedetta Di Marco, 90, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, January 15, 2019. A native of Linguaglossa, Sicily, who immigrated to Syracuse in 1967 at the age of 39. Benedetta was first employed at Syracuse China. She later went to work as a seamstress at Flah's, Addis's and retired from Learbury's. She was a marvelous cook, who loved to work in her garden. She was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother who always placed the needs of her family above her own.
Predeceased by her beloved husband Gaetano in 2011. She is survived by her two sons Andrew "Mario" ( Mary Beth) and Gus (Judy); four Grandchildren Daniel, Maria, Lauren and John; one Great Granddaughter Lilly. As well her devoted friend and caregiver Alfia Pappalardo
The Di Marco family will be forever grateful to the wonderful caregivers and volunteers of Francis House for the care provided to their mother.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 AM on Saturday, January 19 at Our Lady of Pompei Church. A calling hour will be held prior to Mass from 9-10 AM at the church. Entombment will follow in Woodlawn Mausoleum. Contributions in her name may be made to Francis House.
