Barbara Turner Bennett

Barbara Turner Bennett, 95, of Syracuse, died peacefully on Wednesday, October 19, 2022. Raised in Binghamton, NY, she was a graduate of SU, remaining in Syracuse after graduation to work, marry and raise a family. Her career as a highly valued administrator began at Easy Washer Co. and ended as Assistant Dean, Syracuse University School of Architecture in 1992. She was predeceased by her husband of 54 years, Dudley J. Bennett, and a son Christopher. Surviving are a daughter, Andrea (Charles) Thurber of Atherton, CA; a son, Peter (Robyn) of Norwalk, CT; seven grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. Services will be private with calling hours on Friday, November 4, from 4 to 6 p.m. at the Burns-Garfield Funeral Home, 3175 E. Genesee St., Syracuse. Burial will be in Oakwood Morningside Cemetery.
