Agnes J. (Shipman) Coon

Agnes J. (Shipman) Coon, 90, passed away peaceably after a short illness on October 26, 2015. Agnes (Aggie) was born June 28, 1925 in Fall River, MA the daughter Angelo and Mary Pacheco. She was a devoted mother to her 9 children whom she loved and her generosity was only exceeded by her kindness. Agnes was a long time member of the Moose Club where she loved to listen and dance along to her favorite bands. Predeceased by husbands Roy L. Shipman, and Erwin Coon, her Sister, Bella, Brothers, Arthur, Gene, Ben, Joe, , and her Son James R. Shipman. Agnes is survived by her sons, Richard (Roberta Kinsella) , Roy (Buddy), and John, her daughters, Nancy (Jeffrey) Usakewicz, Colleen (Eddie) Cancel, Jacqueline Hylen, Patricia (Robert) Chamberlain, Judy-Ann Shipman, along with 9 grand-children, 1 step-son, several great and great-great grandchildren, Calling hours will be Friday October 30th 4:00-7:00 PM at Burns – Garfield Funeral Home, 3175 East Genesee Street, Syracuse, NY 13224 service will follow at 7:00 PM. Burial will be Saturday, October 31 at 10:30 AM at St Mary's cemetery, Dewitt, NY. Contribution in her name may be made to the Francis House of Syracuse, NY.
